Psychophysical Integration

I can tell you there is no separation between the body and mind… and you can quote me on this. With 30 years of sessions, I repeatedly hear the body speaking of events that are in the past, almost in every session.

Emotionally laden events stick with us the longest, and confuse the present moment. When you are reminded of an event, you may have a similar emotional response, and your body goes back into that place of safety and protection. Chronic pain is often surrounded by such memories.

On the table, the safety is in the relationship, and the watchdog of our body, our central nervous system, relaxes. Memories return but not re-enact, and healing occurs as you can recall the memory without fear. This takes practice and often assistance to recognize the difference. It is possible to integrate those memories into the safety of the present so you can live joyfully, free of pain or fear of pain.
